How has the RX2 improved over its predecessor? The RX2 is an all-band RTK GNSS receiver. The RX-line now supports all current L1, L2, L5, and L6 satellite bands with L-band corrections expected by March 2026. This enables the RX2’s use in more challenging conditions. Another step forward in usability is the addition of Emlid’s Gen.2 IMU which enables tilt compensation in the RX2. The precision is now RTK + 2mm + 0.3mm/°.

The RX2 also incorporates other quality of life improvements like the newly designed ⅝” threads for integration with Emlid’s new quick-release adapter. This threading design allows the RX2 to snap on and off the quick release adapter in seconds with no degradation in position while still maintaining traditional threads to attach normally to your favorite rover pole if you opt out of using the quick release adapter.
