Configuring your D-RTK 3 as a Relay Station

Video tutorial DJI D-RTK 3 Relay Range extension & relay setup
Maximum range Up to 26 km total: 25 km (relay ↔ drone) + 1 km (controller ↔ relay)

This tutorial walks through configuring the DJI D-RTK 3 as a relay station, extending transmission range from the controller to the drone up to 26 km — 25 km from relay to drone, and 1 km from controller to relay.

Begin in the camera view of your Matrice 4. Open the RTK settings and change the RTK service type to D-RTK 3 Relay Station. The drone will reboot to apply the new configuration.

With the D-RTK 3 in relay mode, hold the power button until it begins beeping rapidly — this indicates it is in pairing mode. On your controller, open the main menu in DJI Pilot and tap the relay icon. Select Link Relay to begin searching for the D-RTK 3. Once pairing is complete, a successful linking message will appear and the D-RTK 3 mode LED will turn solid blue.

With the D-RTK 3 linked, calibrate its coordinates using either a known point or PPP. Once coordinates are set, the drone will acquire an RTK fix, and you're ready to operate your Matrice 4 or 400 up to 25 km from the relay, with the controller within 1 km of the relay.
