Stitch3D Overview
In this video I will show you how to use the tools available in Stitch3D, the easiest and most intuitive way to share LiDAR data with colleagues and customers. Since Stitch3D is web-based, we need to navigate to stitch3d.io and Login to our account to upload or access our files. Let’s Upload a new .las. After it is uploaded in a few minutes, the LAS will be processed, and we can view the point cloud. We have several measurement tools available to us. Let’s start with the volume calculator. Simply draw a perimeter around the stockpile you want to measure and right click to get instant measurements. We can also get estimated Mass and Value by selecting the material of our stockpile. We also have distance measurements with different toggles for more specific data for what we want to measure. We can also set points to see their coordinates, take area measurements, and mark slices for profile views. We can also program a fly through video of the data and reproject it into other coordinates systems. The biggest advantage of Stitch3D is that we can share this data as is with live updates to anyone with an internet connection.
